Unlike many other medical practices our goal is to provide each patient ample time and personalized medical treatment to help you Get & Stay Well.
Here are a few ways our office operates differently to provide you that level of care.
Office Operations
Our office is open from 8am – 4pm, Monday through Thursday and Friday from 8am – 12pm. We are closed on most major holidays.
Dr. Balbino specializes in holistic functional medicine as well as treating some of the more complex medical conditions. We are happy to serve as your primary care clinic, however Dr. Balbino does not have privileges at any hospital and the office does not offer on-call or after-hours services. If you have an emergency, go to the nearest emergency department.
New Patient Visit
A New Patient appointment will include a detailed medical history, thorough discussion of treatment options, physical evaluation, and individualized treatment plan. It will be the doctor himself that will determine the amount of time needed for the first visit based on the information provided to us in the welcome packet below. So please be as detailed as you can on your health and wellness concerns so we can be as thorough and effective as possible.
Follow up Visits
The standard follow-up appointment is 1-hour of one-on-one time with the doctor; not 15 minutes as with most offices. Our schedule is designed to allow plenty of time for the doctor to address all the issues you are having. Plus, time to explain the next steps in your care and answer any questions you may have.
Insurance & Financial Responsibility
Payment is due in full at the time of service. Patients are billed based on the time spent with the doctor, not the length of the appointment slot.
Dr. Balbino does not participate with any insurance companies, including Medicare. If you have an insurance policy that allows “out of network” benefits, you can ask our staff at the end of your visit to provide a “paid invoice” which includes all codes needed to submit your doctor visit to insurance for reimbursement. Dr. Balbino has opted out of Medicare participation. Medicare and/or secondary insurance will not pay or reimburse ANY visits to our office. No claim form will be generated. Patients must sign a private contract with our office thereby agreeing to these terms. We offer 10% discount to all Medicare patients for doctor visits and Frequency Specific MicroCurrent treatments.
